Investing in the health of women is key to sustaining communities
The lack of information and limited access to healthcare services in DR Congo put children, women and men health at risk at all levels; mental, physical and emotional. Especially for women who usually face maternal and reproduction health issues.
Through campaigns communities are equipped with vital information and resources about the prevention of life-threatening diseases, family planning, hygiene, maternal and reproduction health to change the impact of prolonged war, poverty and other life hardships on women and children.
In partnership with local clinics, women and children have access to medical treatment, vaccination and medicine.
Our psycho-social assistance program, our counselors provide guidance to help women transition into a newly empowered life. They receive the emotional support they need which enable them to transform difficulties they have into positive changes for themselves and their communities.
